- Cable Basics
- The year/make/model of your truck will determine the kind of hardware you receive from Maven Machines. Depending on your vehicle, you will receive:
- An M3 unit
- A J1939 cable or
- An OBDII cable
- In the case that you have a J1708 diagnostic port, an adapter will be provided

- Recommended: Dashboard Installation
- Plug one end of the cable into the back of the M3 unit.
- Route cable next to the steering wheel.
- Attach the other end of the cable at diagnostic port near the driver's left knee.
- Apply adhesive pads to the slick areas on the bottom of the M3
- Using adhesive pads, mount the M3 to the truck's dash

- Initial Truck Connection
- Once the vehicle turns on, the M3 will make a series of beeps. That signals that the unit is powering up and beginning the pairing process.
- To pair the M3 with your tablet, simply tap on the vehicle icon in the top right corner of the app
- Select the "unknown vehicle" that is connected to adapter AK11_XXXXX
- the AK11_XXXXX number is the M3 unit's IMEI number, and can be found at the back of the device
- This process is very similar to the iOSix connection process laid out here
