1. Cable Basics 
   1. The year/make/model of your truck will determine the kind of hardware you receive from Maven Machines. Depending on your vehicle, you will receive: 
      1. An M3 unit
      2. A J1939 cable or 
      3. An OBDII cable
      4. In the case that you have a J1708 diagnostic port, an adapter will be provided 
2. Where to Install the Unit 
   1. Recommended: Dashboard Installation 
      1. Plug one end of the cable into the back of the M3 unit.
      2. Route cable next to the steering wheel.
      3. Attach the other end of the cable at diagnostic port near the driver's left knee. 
      4. Apply adhesive pads to the slick areas on the bottom of the M3
      5. Using adhesive pads, mount the M3 to the truck's dash
3. Initial Truck Connection
   1. Once the vehicle turns on, the M3 will make a series of beeps. That signals that the unit is powering up and beginning the pairing process. 
   2. To pair the M3 with your tablet, simply tap on the vehicle icon in the top right corner of the app
      1. Select the "unknown vehicle" that is connected to adapter AK11_XXXXX
      2. the AK11_XXXXX number is the M3 unit's IMEI number, and can be found at the back of the device
