You will start your day by logging into the Maven Machines app, using your username and password. If you do not have a username and password yet, please contact your manager to obtain either a driver sign up code or your company specific log in ID.
Once you have successfully logged in, check your Action Items tab and certify your logs for the previous day/s.
Before you proceed, please verify that you are connected to your vehicle at the top right corner of the screen.
If you are using the same mobile device and Truck every day, you will automatically re-connect to your vehicle. Please allow about two minutes for the connection to restore, once you have logged in. If you have disconnected, follow the steps below to reconnect:
1. If you see a question mark ? or a red X, tap on the vehicle picture to connect.
2. Select your vehicle from a list of suggested vehicles.
3. If you are in a new vehicle, you might see an Unknown Vehicle, instead a familiar vehicle number. You may proceed by selecting the Unknown vehicle. If the vehicle already exists in your fleet, the system will automatically connect. If not - you will be asked to create the vehicle and add it to your fleet.
After you confirm that you have connected to the vehicle, you will need to complete a Pre-trip inspection.
Go to the HOS button on the top right corner of the screen and change your current Duty Status to On Duty. You have the option to enter a note or select Pre-trip inspection from the suggested notes, then save your duty status.
Now that you are On Duty and have started your shift for the day, select the DVIR tab on the bottom of your tablet and then press “Add Report” to submit a Pre-trip inspection.
Verify that a Pre-trip inspection is selected and enter all the necessary information. Press Submit when you are ready.
Navigate back to the HOS page and select today's date under the Logs Tab. Go to Forms to fill out any necessary information such as trailer numbers, shipping numbers or Co-Drivers. You may continue to edit this page throughout the day to add any additional information.
You are now ready to drive!
Verify that you are connected to your vehicle (a green checkmark on your vehicle indicates a successfully connection).
You do not need to change your Duty status at this point. As soon as your vehicle is moving, your ELD will automatically switch to a Drive status.
Remember to change your status to Off Duty when you are ready to take your mandatory 30-minute break. You will need to stay in an Off Duty Status for the full 30 minutes in order to reset your timer. Your 8-hour time will reset to indicate that you are ready to drive again.
If you would like to check how much time is remaining on your break, you can open your HOS Event Page. Under Current Duty Status a timer will indicate how long you have been Off Duty.
At the end of the day you will follow the steps for submitting a Pre-trip inspection to submit a Post-trip as well.
Select Off Duty to start your 10-hour break or a 34-hour reset.
You can log out of your account by tapping on the circle with your initials in the top right corner and selecting the Log Out button on the bottom of your screen.
